An apt title for this episode, as the other characters get their show time rather than just the main quartet of Konata, Kagamin, Tsukasa and Miyuki. That being said… Konata really started off this episode in a pretty cute way…
5 Comments » You knew this was coming… I’m saying that a lot these days, aren’t I? Taken me a while to warm up to the idea, but these Shiraishi ED renditions are pretty freakin funny. Seems like they told him to sing the song totally from memory, because he starts making up words / mumbling in some of more difficult sections. It gets fast forwarded near the end because there’s not enough time left in the episode >.>Awww… poor Kagamin…. this episode she really had quite a lot of bad luck :X. The sibling quarrel part is just so nicely done. Sometimes, Lucky Star really resembles real life, more so than the other slice-of-life shows. HaHaHaHa… The ending is so awesome, It places second in my book other than the hare hare yukai. That was indeed a joy to see, even though I can’t understand any of the conversations.
Man oh man, where do I begin. Remember how I said before that Lucky Star seemed to be alternating between episodes where they just talk, and episodes where something happens? It seems like that’s been redone in a condensed form, where half the episode has talking parts and the other half involves the girls going somewhere or doing something.That’s all fine and dandy, but how do we address the recent explosion of Haruhi references in Lucky Star? I’ve always held my ground on the point that Lucky Star is able to tackle several different sources of humor – one of them being reference-based, and juggle them around masterfully. It’s just that the majority of the referential humor is easy to pick up on relative to the other humor (you know, where you actually have to watch the episode to get it), thereby giving Lucky Star detractors the false impression that all the humor is as a result of Keroro, Haruhi, or Da Capo. Recent Haruhi references have tipped the scales a bit, but let’s not forget, the concert scene of episode 15 was less than a minute, and the cosplay café deal in this episode wasn’t even three minutes. The rest of the episode? Honest to goodness Lucky Star exclusive fun.
